A Good Book Report
by
Edward W. Salden
I started reading the bible.
I was surprised.
There are two ways to look at the Bible.
One is that it's real, and the other that it's a story.
If it's a story, it takes its place among all other mythological books,
and can be evaluated as one desires.
If it's real, it is the unique word of the one and only God.
Then it's not just the essential history book and science book and
law book; it's the user's manual for life.
If it's real, it's everything.
Does anybody still believe that? Nobody
I know.
